Olympus Infinity Stylus Zoom 140 DLX
Introduced in 1999 the Olympus Infinity Stylus ZOOM 140 DLX was the deluxe version of the Zoom 140 released the year before. It was also sold as the mju ZOOM 140 DLX.
For some models the Deluxe version added a quartz date option but the base model already had this. For the ZOOM 140 the DLX seem to have added an upgraded “color-balanced” flash and a Panorama mode. There is a dial on the back that lets you select Panorama. This draws a set of horizontal curtains on the top and bottom of the film and viewfinder to give a panorama effect. This does not charge the width of the film exposed just the height.
All the other feature of the Olympus Infinity Stylus ZOOM 140, seem to remain the same.
My Take:
For me the Panorama mode is not that interesting so this just like the prior version. A decent point and shoot. Better than most and a good snap shot camera. I don’t go seeking point and shoots but also have a hard time passing if they are cheap and working. The price seems to be on the increase but if I still find one for less than a roll of film, I buy it.
