Olympus Infinity Stylus Zoom 115
Originally sold in 1997 the Infinity Stylus ZOOM 115 DLX is a consumer grade pocket point and shoot.
In 1991 Olympus introduced the µ (mju) series. The Mju series was known as the ∞ (Infinity) Stylus in the US market. The Mju became the Mju II and in the US market the Infinity Stylus Epic. The Mju/Infinity cameras came in a viriety of models with the same general shape and aesthetic. Some of the key design features the series share are: autofocus, a front sliding lens cover, and integrated flash. There were color variations but the significant differences were the lens options. The early models were mostly fixed length lenses and are some of the most desirable models. Zoom models came is several lengths. Many models also had both a standard and a Deluxe/ DLX version that general included and date option and in some cases a panoramic option.
This one is a DLX version.
My Take:
The Infinity Stylus ZOOM 115 DLX has a long list of marketing features. In use it is a point and shoot. The sliding cover make for a good pocket camera. The image quality is acceptable but not amazing. Mine survived only one test roll, before it died. But at $6, I will recover. If you find one cheap they are a good pocket camera but given the age and the fact that they were popular as kid cameras, caveat emptor.
