Rollie 35 LED
Introduced in 1978, the LED was a redesign of the classic Rollei 35 by Rollie Singapore. It add an electronic meter and LED guide indicators.
I am not going to even try to give much history about the Rollei 35. It has a very strong following and my one roll of film will add little to the discussion. All I can do is report my experience.
My Take:
I have three Rollei 35 cameras. A German made chrome 35, a black Singapore 35 T and this 35 LED. All are in fantastic cosmetic condition and came to me as part of a collection.
I love the size and hate the camera. It is just too fussy for me. I like that it gave me full exposure control but making the adjustments on this size camera are very inconvenient. The fact that mine delivered images that look like they were shot through a screen did not help. Not sure what the issue was, could have been the expired film. The right thing to do would be shoot an other roll of new film to give the LED a fair shot. Life is not fair, so this one and the other two will most likely get sold. Sorry Rollie 35 fans, I just don't get it.
